Cold jet deburring

In this process the residual burr of the molded rubber part is mechanically removed or deburred with liquid nitrogen and the addition of granules in a radiation drum. Precisely defined and stored setting parameters, based on the geometry and other properties, are defined and electronically managed for each customer article.

MOLDED PARTS FINISHING

Finishing depending on requirement & use.

Depending on the requirements, area of application and geometry of the molded rubber part, Knorr & Macho GmbH implements different finishing techniques.
Cold jet deburring

In this method, the residual ridge of the rubber mould part using liquid nitrogen and the addition of granules will be removed in a radiation drum machine, and deburred. For every Customer's items will be defined precisely defined and stored setting parameters on the Basis of the Geometry and other properties, and electronically managed. The cold-jet deburring process is carried out between minus 20°C and minus 120°C.

We have two cold-jet deburring plants (nitrogen in connection with granules) of the brand MEWO, as well as a Drum, in which, e.g., rubber gaskets, rubber grommets or rubber bellows are treated exclusively with nitrogen.

The cold jet deburring process is carried out between minus 20°C and minus 120°C. We have two cold jet deburring systems (nitrogen in connection with granulate) from the MEWO brand, as well as another drum system in which for example rubber seals, rubber grommets or rubber bellows are treated exclusively with nitrogen.
Heat treatment

As part of this process the elastomer, which has a mold structure that is still too soft for future use, is cured. By heating the corresponding chemical ingredients such as plasticizers, vapors, etc., which can affect the functionality of the molded part, are removed from the molded rubber part.

The annealing process is performed, depending on the specification of the raw material suppliers, with 1 to several hours between 100°C and 230°C.

The Knorr & Macho GmbH currently has two tempering oven.
